Shamrock School of Dance

The Shamrock School of Dance is the sister school to the Shamrock School of Irish Step Dance orginally founded in 1973 by May Buckley-Kirmer a warbride from Ireland. May started the Shamrock School in Denver, Colorado after teaching for several years in Kansas after coming to the United States at the age of 19. Her dancing career in Ireland included several notable dance masters such as Lilly Comerford (Irish) and Connie Ryan (Tap, Ballet, & Acrobatics) and she was a Royalette at the Theater Royal in Dubin. Rachel Knutson, her daughter, concentrated her study of dance in Irish Step and received her teaching certificate in 1986 by the Commission of Irish Step Dance in Dublin, Ireland. She has continued the school with great dedicaton and is now the Director of both The Shamrock School of Dance and The Shamrock School of Irish Step Dance.

We have a state-of-the-art studio at our Eagan Yankee Plaza location with over 2,600 square feet of studio space complete with sprug flooring. Dance is our PASSION! Come join us and share with us the wonderful world of DANCE!
